Reclaim bank transfer

Hi, just a quick question. My company has made a bank payment to a different bank and have found the bank account number and sort code which is great. But the person who made the payment can't find the necessary paperwork to back up the payment. If the bank goes to recall the payment and hopefully it's accepted, does my company finally find out the account name once received back so they cam sort it out? Messy i know

If the payment is recalled, your company won't need, or have any right, to know the name of the account they sent the money to.0

Damn, so they will only see the bank account and sort code?0

Yes. Why do they need the name of the wrong payee?0

Apparently the payment beneficiary list was tidied and little used names were removed on the tidy up. Oh well, i guess they we will find out when the bank tries to reclaim the money, someone is bound to be in touch. Thanks0
