I currently am using three mobile broadband with the Huawei B535 modem supplied - could I use any other unlocked mobile modem by transferring my SIM card?

I guess this could be possible but contact three and see what they say.

Well what do you think three would say?
I would think they would say NO.
I am looking to see if their SIM would work in some other unlocked mobile modem - in case the ever refuse to replace.
Some others look like better products.

Why don't you try it - there's no reason why it shouldn't

Short answer yes. It's a sim card. It will work.

Longer answer. You might have to manually enter the apn settings, not hard. The device needs to support the band's frequencies that three use. The B535 is already fairly well specced router, 300mbs, ethernet and external antenna connections. But if you put the SIM in say a mobile or a battery mifi it should work fine. One day if 5g comes to your area you should be able to put it into a 5g router and use that!

Yes it works fine using tplink 4g router with my 8 pounds unlimited data with speeds over 60meg no setup required all plug and play.

I have a Huawei 4G Unlocked mobile broadband dongle. I took the 3 mobile broadband SIM out the '3' dongle and put it into the Huawei unlocked dongle and it works fine.
