Fee for leaving 3 network contract early?

Hi all,
I have a friend who was conned into premium texts, everything is being sorted out right now. He realized how much is he overpaying for his phone contract without using all this unlimited data, texts and calls. Got 24M contract, 12 months left on it.
Anyone tried to leave 3 early, what is the fee for that? Is there a way to pay less early leave fee? Should he wait until contract is over? Thanks.

Probably - they may give a small 'early termination fee' discount. Maybe try 'live chat' on the Three app on the phone to ask.

The fee will be the number of months left times the monthly fee. They 'might' give a small discount but there's no way to get a large reduction.
