Due to cabinet being 100% utilised I'm locked in to my current broadband supplier

I'm currently with EE on Fibre Plus and looking to transfer to a different supplier, however I can't change to another Fibre product as every search shows it not available at my property, despite actually being at my property and having been through BT & Sky previously I am unable to swap to any other provider on fibre, only ADSL speeds is available.
Having spoken to a SkyExpert, they advised that the cabinet may be at 100% utilisation and a free slot is needed to move me to, this means that I'm locked in to my current provider, or I take a drastically reduced service.
Has anyone else experienced this or have any advice?

Does it say "waiting list" for FTTC when you do a check here?

If it does, then keep checking regularly on the above website because sooner or later Openreach will increase capacity - either by installing new line cards or a brand new FTTC cabinet.1 -

I assume you have tried providers other than Sky? It's just possible sky need a special unbundled capacity availability and there might still be some regular capacity left for iSPS using the standard openreach capacity? You have probably checked.
Incidentally I always found EE to be a reasonable ISP? Have you tried telling them of cheaper deals and seeing if they will lower their price to compete?0 -

‘ There is no data available for this number. This could be either because it is not a BT line or it is a new BT number that has just been provided. Most new numbers will appear on the checker 24 hours after BT has installed the line’
ive had this number since September last year and it was allocated by Now TV Broadband. How do you check capacity for non-BT phone numbers?0 -

Made sense to me because why spend £xmillion on FTTP but still spend £xthousands on technology which will be obsolete shortly - BT Openreach want/need customers to upgrade to FTTP so that they can decommission the old copper networks asap. I believe target date is 2025 nationally but presumably they have local targets for earlier dates.1 -
