Yet another poster who didn't get the response that they wanted and lacks the common decency to return!

Thus leading to the constant new OPs posts, on Scam, Miss sold, Ripped off, Compo posts, etc, etc   :'(
I wonder how many people realise that, in theory, their comments on the internet can make them liable for court action. The sole purpose of the OP's post was to damage Eon's reputation!

  • I have been trying (and failing ) to read my smart meter to submit my electricity usage since February when I initially reported it. I am on Economy 7 but cannot get a daytime and night time reading (and yes, I have watched the videos of how to do it several times) Your estimated statements indicate that I am now almost a thousand pounds in debt which is causing me tremendous stress and worry. I was promised back in February that Eon would send a meter reader to read it but so far nothing.  I switched to Eon from OVO in November and Eon quoted me £107 per month for dual fuel which was less than the £128 which OVO was quoting me.  I am still trying to work out how Eon could possibly have got their quote so drastically wrong, surely this is illegal and why is it so infuriatingly difficult to get the matter resolved, either through online chat or letter?  I am desperate to switch to another energy supplier, but I refuse to pay this extortionate bill in order to enable me to leave

@lupinlanspeary8   How did you manage to read your meter last November to give Eon reads -  and how did you estimate your consumption for Eon /OVO to quote ?

Edit - make and model number of meter please  -is it one with a mini keypad ?
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

Those were not quotes, they were estimates and they were based on what you told them your usage was when you switched...
Odds are your bill will be lower once you give them an actual reading, so tell us more about the meter and perhaps we can help you get the readings you need...
Same as Robin, I wonder how you managed to give an opening meter reading to EON when you switched so that may be wrong as well...
