NCP ticket

Options
Driver of my car entered NCP,first time of parking there, unsure of procedure. So left car and then came back later, entered reg number it said, driver said £1.20 to pay which he did, by Apple pay.
Anyway I received a NTK apparently the driver had stayed 2 hrs and only paid for one.
Is it worth appealing, it seems an open and shut. A genuine error but one all the same. Top picture is notice by pay machine, bottom picture at entrance

That signage looks awful, confusing, and the charge is hidden in the small print.

What happened when the keeper complained to the landowner, assuming it's one of the ones not owned by NCP?

Appeal using the template in blue text from the first post of the NEWBIES. If/when it is rejected, appeal to PoPLA using all the relevant points from the third post of the NEWBIES.

Car park T&C look sufficient to build a nuclear power station.  Surely no one could be expected to read all that lot, therefore unfair T&C under Consumer Rights  Act.  If no contract exists it cannot be breached.  Is not accepting cash legal?

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up,

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Why would anyone even think they have to pay this?!   If their app said £1.20 then it was £1.20.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

States may incur a pcn. Totally unenforceable as its ambiguous. Cannot agree to such terms. Whole contract in tatters as it has no severability clause cos NCP contract writers are inept

I've had the same (I guess) Ts & Cs at an NCP car park in Bromley. The sign is roughly A4 sized and printed in about 10 point font. In this particular car park, it was in a position which also had a "no pedestrians" notice, so couldn't walk up to it. As it was on the entrance ramp, even sitting right next to it in the car, I was unable to read it at all.

Oh, and the first picture shows them adopting the PE model of sticking the signage so high up that it's also impossible to read.

I parked in Sainsburys, Calcot, yesterday, it is infested by Horizon.  The T&C were unreadable, they were about eight feet off the ground in very small print.  Why do Sainsburys allow this?
