    No, he advised me to do it myself to save money, so although I am very DIY active, I'm not sure that I want to tackle it. I may get a quote to replace the whole lot with uPVC, but I'm guessing that the bill will be about £2000.

    The best thing to do would be strip the tiles back a few courses and look at the felt. It must have rotted or the water would still go to the gutter. You can then stick a new strip of felt in and also the eaves protectors.
