Ubereats have duplicated my order and charged me twice, then refused to refund.

Your previous replies suggest you ordered a modest amount of food rather than a feast for 40 people. Personally had it happened I would have taken the second order in and either eaten it the next day or put it in the freezer for another day (ignoring the fact our freezer is broken right now).
You also mention there appeared to be issues with the order going through on your computer and therefore there is a chance it was an error at their end that caused the duplication but it could also be an error at your end/or with a middleman in the internet connection which resulted in your request being received, the acknowledgement being lost/ignored and so the request being represented a second time which wouldn't be UberEats fault.
It is a disappointing response from UberEats but not wholly out of character for them. I find Deliveroo much better from a "wrong order" perspective but they instead are naughty with reducing delivery radius when demand is high (esp when you are paying a subscription to them).
If you don't get anywhere then chalk it up as a learning experience not to leave deliveries on your doorstep even if you don't believe you ordered them.
