Hi Taxi - great news on the wins & the holiday:j :j lovely when you get an extra bit of money you weren't expecting. How exciting:D
When I was told I could cash my ISA in & get 12k I was in shock & couldn't stop crying as I knew how hard it had been to get the other 8k together.
I was waiting to find out about a tax rebate as my hubby is at sea, & it now seems we WILL get one:T I was originally hoping for this when I joined the 20k by xmas thread ( 14kish for me ) so I am expecting nearly 6k back from the tax man, when he pulls his finger out.
So by the time hubby goes back to crap money, hope to have 9k saved, what for I don't know all in the air, as he's reapplied for RFA again, so can't even book a holiday as hasn't got any news yet + I have to go in school holidays now as work in a school, & if I were to go anywhere it would be Florida for 3 weeks, we went May 2005 & it was really quiet & easy to get on rides etc, though last time I think we spent about £7k altogether:eek: but did/bought everything, the best 3 weeks of my life:rolleyes:
Also, would love to move, but could only do that if he gets back in to RFA, & if that's the case, don't want to use some of the money for a holiday, would have to use for fees & stamp duty - dull:o
Anyway - waffle over, have a great day & hope the takings pick upComping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

Morning Kizzy and everyone...I'm thinking of having a queitish day today as I'm really tired.Got plenty of bits and pieces to do at home anyway.
I've been out this morning to fill the car up as everyone will be panic buying but we can't get wages unless we have diesel.I've also dropped off all the cheques for my subs up until I come back.Done surveys etc so have to make a start on the washing shortly and get myself a brew.Need to look through the cupboard under the sink to see what toiletries we need or if we need any sun cream and then buy what's needed...then just some packing to do but have all sorts of things around the house to do.
that's great news on the tax rebate Kizzy ...as you say it will come in for something ...it's a nice feeling to have some money and not know what to spend it on.Best get the washing on...0 -

Thanks you two...ISOM there isn't a petrol shortage as such in England but with people panic buying there could be!!!

Think that's the last of the shopping done now...I hate shopping anyway.Wanted to get it done out of the way as I've loads to do around the house.Need to pop in the office between 3pm and 5pm tomorrow as the boss wants to talk to me about the btec course and I think he's arranged it for the same time as we are away!!!!..if he has then I hope he's doing a second course...all the drivers I've seen have said it's on the 2nd week we are away....
Well done on the win Hypno it all adds up at the end of the day. When I get back from my holidays I am seriously going to knuckle down at work and also get back to the gym and watch what I eat. Then clothes shopping may be more fun.0 -
