  • Oh hairy dangly things, you said to update you on the window, I forgot to check ebay as was ironing & someone got it for £6.07!! Never mind, not in a hurry for it, they come up every month or so:p
As for your windows & fires, I've lived in cold flats etc, you end up using tons of gas/elec because of poor insulation/windows & you're never warm, it's money well spent in my opinion, nothing worse than being cold.
Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

    HI taxi,

Good to hear you had a good day with DGS, how come you got free entry to sea life:confused: thought that was a fair few quid.

Well done, seems like a very DFW day:j

    Debt-free and Proud!
A good saving there taxi - £20 towards your fireplaces!! :D
Glad you had a good day - any plans for today?
  • Hi Taxi,

 when I first started reading but when I made it through the pages *phew*, you did really well and bet you can't wait to be nice and warm in the winter. I know that I fell off the wagon spectacularly last year as I didn't budget for house stuff etc and then loads of stuff needed doing. The plain fact is we need to live as well as debt bust so I think you have done the right thing.

DH is currently repainting house with paint that we bought months ago from a closing down sale which has probably saved us a fortune, I will feel soooo much better when I am sat in a living room that doesn't have children's fingerprints everywhere.....

    Have a lovely afternoon x

    Hi Taxi,

Just wanted to say glad that you are able to fit sorting the house out, especially essentials like decent heating, alongside all your debt repayments. I'm well impressed that you have such a good plan in place. In three years time you will be minted and the house will be lovely.

WOW..just logged on and what a lot of replies!!!!!....Thanks everyone....
BTM....now and again we get free entry to things or discounts with our taxi badges..not often admittedly though...hope you had a good weekend take wise...
ISOM....can see why you was worried but am in control...I didn't have a budget for household repairs...so will have to look into that one...wish I could take the batteries out of him sometime as he's worn me out as lovely as he is.
Mizmir...we didn't have plans for today but we went to the office and he had a big bag of maltesers and a bottle of diet coke...debt free way but makes him hyper....he was given those by the girls in the office and some little figures they had collected so he was happy. Also one of the girls in the office has a small pony and has invited him to ride it so something else to do for nothing. We then went into town and went around the shops and we had dinner out and then came home...he's been good though!!!
JB..totally agree as I guess loads of us don't set a fund for house repairs but they need doing will get this lot out of the way and paid for before the next lot..debt is good when 0% though and worth taking advantage of.Because I haven't spent £7k on fires I have enough left over to do the flooring and decorating so at least 2 rooms will be done...
Tara ...it doesn't slow debt busting down any funny enough as I can't really pay any extra off my loans....so all is well there.
I hope you have all had a good weekend ...I'm knackered...LOL...but had a lovely time
