Hi ISOM...thanks for popping in I was thinking I was here on my own ..I had a bit knocked off on the price of the first 4 but to be honest they are top quality windows and the price I got for the back door is £420 cheaper than the price I was quoted by another firm 4 years ago...I could have got my windows a lot cheaper but those budget type windows are a lot poorer quality as my front ones are already double glazed(even though I'm replacing them ) and those ones on the front are very poor quality when looking at these new ones on the back.
I also tend to buy from well established family run businesses as they offer old fashioned service rather than these faceless national companies. Not truly MSE in the first instance but have justified it to myself as better value in the long term.
Sorry you didn't have any wins on the bingo ..what a shame ..I agree though definitely monotonous...I haven't tried any for days as I think they were on to me.
Today has been a lovely day weatherwise here lovely and sunny but not brilliant for business but was ok...had a sleep when I got home as I was really tired...but feel ok now.
Its my birthday tomorrow but won't be doing anything as I'll be at work like a good MSEr ...lol....my daughter K got me a voucher from the beauty salon at the gym for a eye brow wax, lipwax and chin wax ...don't know what shes trying to tell me ..lol...
I will use that in the next few weeks and combine it with a swim and a sauna on my day off...
Nothing else to report as everything here is just the same day in and day out ...by 2011 god willing though I will be debt and mortgage free ...so only 3 years to go...

Hi Taxi, I'm sure you're right, it's definitely worth paying more for good quality windows.

Happy birthday for tomorrow. Are you doing anything in the evening? Or OH cooking a special dinner? I'm a bit jealous of all the waxing, I could do with some of that. I never even heard of eyebrow waxing til I joined MSE, now I'm beginning to get obsessed with the idea. So please let me know what it's like.

I see you've overtaken me on the debt total - oh well I knew the day would come.

  • Hope you have a great birthday tomorrow taxi:beer: . Sounds like you were chuffed with your new windows, hope you didn't freeze too much:o
When we had new windows a couple of years ago they put them in when it was snowing hard and we were sat here shivering with our coats on:D

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes...I'm not going out at all only to work in the day and then DH will cook tea it's tortellini and HM pasta sauce...and then DH will go to work so thats it really..
I like having my eyebrows waxed as it usually lasts longer than plucking but have not had them done for ages..instead DD has been plucking them for me...
As for overtaking you on debt that won't last for long as I'm only paying normal payments for the next 4 months ish...so you will soon overtake me again then I'll have to catch up..
I'm really pleased with the windows as they were very professional and the quality really good. You can't beat good old fashioned service..that is one of my main priorities when having any work done.
I've got the whole house to renovate from top to bottom and will be doing it along side paying debts off as and when I can..the back windows wouldn't last another year so thats why I decided to do them now..
Just had a lovely bath and facial so am feeling refreshed for tomorrow and gave just put the washing in so will have to wait until thats finished to put in the dryer before going to bed as I need my uniform for tomorrow so will mull around here for an hour..lol..
PS DH and I were also sat here in our coats as it was freezing...at least the next lot won't be as bad..take care and have a good weekend
