It's not a complete disaster to me as I was aiming to be debt free in 2011 and would have been as that's when the other 2 loans finish ..I was also optimistically hoping that I could be mortgage free at that time also.... but with the hew loan not finishing until 2012 now I am probably very likely to be mortgage free by then as well.
    My plans are that :
Halifax and MBNA BMI CCs both 0% are paid before december this year.(that's when the int free period runs out)
Virgin 0% to be paid off by July next year (that's when that int free runs out)
American express and morgan stanley (both cash back cards) are paid in full every month anyway.

The car loan(loan 3) will be paid in full within the next couple of weeks.
Loan 1 and 2 to run their course both finish in 2011

All spare money to be put into our offset mortgage which will be a safety cushion as well until we have enough to pay the mortgage off completely.

Loan 4 is the new car loan which will run for 4 years.

When loan 4 finishes I hope to be able to pay the mortgage off in full by then and be totally debtfree....
the next few weeks will be a struggle as I will be paying out for a lot of stuff before claiming it back and until we get the money back from all the claims.

Feels better to have wrote the plan out and see it here in black and white.

my goodness, i thought my plans were complicated. Mr. b's interest free card finishes in november as well..it is MBNA, we have paid it off once and then they offered interest free which we took up, but i want it off before christmas! His car loan finishes in three years as well, mine in two years to the month. Will have a play at switcheroo i think.:rotfl:

but to be completely debt free in 4 years is great.

Hi taxi, sorry the tooth is giving you gyp - I know money is tight this month, but you really should get it looked at.....extra pain is the last thing you need.

Good news on "the plan" - what's an extra year, in the bigger scheme of things......and the fact that the mortgage will def be gone by then too takes a little pressure off, if anything, doesn't it?

Hope you have a good day.......pain free x

    Hi everyone....
What a mixed day today!!!!.....We have picked up the new car and have got the new parking permit for it also.
Tomorrow is our day off and is going to be really busy!!!....9am I have to have the car at the garage for radio/meter fitting....10am we have to go to St Annes and finish our BTEC (so they can send the portfolio away)..they only rang us today about this and the deadline is tomorrow!!!!!!!!!
When we get back from there we have to go to licensing and put DHs CRB in and buy his badges..(approx £130)....and book the pits for the car(approx £173) and will also pay for radio fitting (£150 -£300)...so very expensive day!!!!!!
Still trying to get hold of solicitor about the £1500 cheque from salvage...from what I can gather(not established as fact yet)...salvage have hand delivered it to solicitors and solicitor will pay the finance direct!!!!...but need to have this confirmed by solicitor.
Spoken to GMAC today and have been told not to pay what I owe until next friday...it will only be £343.61 after the 2 DDs have come off.
Have updated my sig to include the new car loan and could cry but am not going to dwell on it.
On a positive note I have now reached my £20k challenge !!!!!!!!!

I have been using clove oil and it's pretty good.It seems to ache when I get up so am wondering if I'm grinding them at night with stress.
