Not directly related to your issue OP but I've had a few dealings with Hastings and they're a strange bunch. Swapped my bike for a new one whilst insured with Hastings with only 5 weeks left of policy, I wanted to see out the policy to gain another years 'no claims' well when I rung them they swapped over the policy easily enough but then informed me they couldn't offer any renewal price as my new bike was brand new, bigger engine and hyper sports etc etc, they made it sound like it was uninsurable??.

I ended up going with Bennetts (one of the best for bikes imo) decent price and nice extras, I've just recently been looking for renewal prices and who comes up on comparison site HASTINGS???? not the cheapest but not bad, like I said strange!
