Veritas Alarm

Options
I had a power cut last night, when the power returned my alarm sounded. I entered my code + reset but my alarm won't reset. I've had to shut the power off to silence it. Can anyone help?

Does it have a back-up battery?  Usually in the main console (not the keypad).  This happened to two of my neighbours at different times and I replaced the batteries (one was 10 years old and wouldn't hold a charge) and all was fine.

As above, i sounds like your backup battery is dead, do you have the alarm serviced?

As you need it sorting fairly quickly then I'd ring around some local alarm installers to see if they can come out and sort it for you, other than that the only other option is to remove the power from the main control unit.

It will probably be worth getting this post moved over to the "In my home (DIY)" forum - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/in-my-home-includes-diy-moneysaving
