House bought - Wrong boiler document passed over after completion.

How long do you plan living there? If you don't intend selling anytime soon, this really is a non-issue. We discovered that the plumber had failed to register our boiler when we had an extension built. The extension had BR signoff but we didn't notice the lack of certificate until some considerable period of time later.  We had the boiler serviced regularly, when we came to sell 10 years after the install we made sure the estate agent was up front regarding the lack of certificate when people were first viewing. As a result the lack of certificate came as no surprise when the formal paperwork was requested.  I'm pretty sure that most people can see that a regularly serviced boiler that's been in place 10 years is not an issue from a safety perspective and is way beyond enforcement.  In a few years time either you or somebody else will need to update the boiler and this problem will go away on its own.

There are way bigger problems in the world to occupy your mind than worrying about this.
