House round the corner had another collection of bits to help yourself , so I now have a nice zipped bag of Mega Blocks for the grandchildren to play with when they visit!  I've had some nice things from this house !

The beautiful guilded mirror and brand new matress was from the same house last year.  I think they had enough money to play with styles.  The house is a beautiful double fronted Victorian, the young owner really lovely.

Found 2 pence the other day.  A bright shinny one.  62 pence to date !

Wow. A fab womble.

I heard a chipper round the corner and went to chat up the folk doing it. I am now the proud owner of a huge pile of logs and and 2 wheelie bins worth of chippings which will be transported to the allotment over time.

That was a great find   @oystercatcher: Those things aren't cheap. 
You have top notch finds bbb 

I am going to to take some of the posts, kindly prepared by my DH to the allotment in the next few days. Just need to get them in the ground and some trellis to put in between. Also gone over are bags of sand wombled last year for a sitting area. just need a builder now with some rubble for hardcore.

my roadside find this morning with zeus was a huge black sack the local premier store had left out for us. it was so heavy i had to go back and grab the car!!!  8 packs of bacon, 6 packs of ham, 10 rustler muffins, 40 pies, and 20 sandwiches!!! these are all out of date by 2 days!! currently cooking bacon in the oven to crisp up and will pop in freezer. just had a muffin thingy, delicious!! the chickens will enjoy the pies and sandwiches and dogs will devour the ham!!! great start to the morning. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks BBB  We have a wood burner which is a secondary heating methos should the electics fail, plus you can do toast and tea on it at a push. We have enough wood for a few years now but one of the wood stores has gaps so we will be filling them.

Todays find was a bit of an odd one. As I walked Doggo round the cemetary I spotted a six inch living Christmas tree in a pot on top of a pile of rubbish in a bin. It looked perfectly healthy so came back and has replaced the somewhat larger but dead christmas tree in a pot in our front garden, victim of the heatwave in the summer. I was sad when I found he had died as had survived a good few years. This gave me a lift on a very low mood day, small pleasures. 

To add to the madness...the old tree was called Chris, the new tree is called Noel and we talk to them .
