Problem with End Date upgrade on Competitions Time - ONLY PARTIALLY SOLVED

An upgrade was applied to the Competitions Time forum on 30/06/2020
The problem is that threads posted since the upgrade (ie. with a "new format" end date) are being automatically closed.
examples are:

These threads have an end date of 01/07 and yet the threads are already closed.
Access is needed to these threads so that people can add replies, mark them as entered/skipped etc. until the competitions end at 23:59 on 01/07
It seems that threads are being closed a day too early.

There is actually no need to ever "close" threads on competitions time. Competitions that have finished are moved to "Game Over" and users should still be able to add replies etc.

I recommend that no threads are ever automatically closed on Competitions Time.

I just want to add my support to all that One-Eye said. And thank you SOOOOOO much for giving us access to tick/skip threads from the main page, without us having to open each thread to do this. Although it's not yet perfect, as stated in the OP, it has made such a huge and positive difference to comping already. It now takes a fraction of the time to work through the board.

Following on from this report yesterday. It appears that competitions closing on the same day you enter, for example competitions closing 02/07 and being entered on 02/07 are being closed before the competition itself is actually closed. Therefore "entered and skipped" boxes cannot be ticked and activated either from the main list or the competition post itself. Not all of the competitions ending on the same date are like this and it seems to be late postings. Ones posted days or weeks ago are fine.

Good Morning all, 
Just to say that the closing of comps early is still happening stopping the entered and skipped tick boxes to be activated either from the main list or from the post itself. I'm a bit of a last minute person and enter most on the closing date. Since the upgrade on 30th June it has happened on every single date for example 01/07, 02/07, 03/07, 04/07, and now today 05/07. It appears to be only comps posted after the 30th June and for me it is only a handful. There maybe a lot more out there. 
As to why this is happening I'm not expert enough to know. Whether it is a system fault or a person is doing it or some other reason I do not know.

Good Morning,
This is getting silly now. I am just working my way through competitions ending today 06/07 and so far I have got to page 19 having started at page 1, and every single competition post closing today is already closed so I cannot tick the entered or skipped box on any of them. 
It hasn't been this bad before. Normally it is just in the first few pages.

Tick boxes are working again for today's date 06/07 from page 27. So does that means that there have been 27 pages of new competition posts since 30th June? If so then I am so grateful to all who post on here.

I don't know what you are looking at but a search for end date 06/07 is only producing 11 pages in total and any posted from 01/07 onwards are now marked as closed and the Entered/Skipped boxes are not usable.

OK. Working from the main board sorted by latest post, comps posted from 01/07 start from page 25. Sorted by thread start, comps posted from 01/07 start from page 24. In either case, any posted with an end date of 06/07 are closed and the Entered/Skipped buttons are not usable.
I don't know if this has changed since your post earlier this morning but that's how it is now.

At the time I posted this morning everything with an end date 06/07 up till page 27 were marked as closed so the entered and skipped boxes did not work. Everything with an end date 06/07 posted after page 27 are all open, entered and skipped boxes work and comments can be made on these posts. The exact page number will have changed now as competitions will have been removed and new ones added.

As I said, the situation as it is now, is that any competitions posted from 01/07 onwards with an end date of 06/07 are marked as closed and are no longer accessible for posting or using the Entered/Skipped buttons. So in effect, nothing has changed.
Comps are being closed a day too early and do not actually need closing at all. Even when they have gone to Game Over we do sometimes still need to access them.
