Advice sim card, no contract, one top up a year

Hello friends,
I need a sim card for very basic/little/or almost no use. No contract.
Something that I would have to top up only once a year to make sure the sim doesn't get deactivated...
Do you think there is something like this available on the market?
Thanks a lot

As above usually every 3 months or so .

Indeed I have certainly not topped up my 3 sim in over a year. However I send a text occasionally to keep it activated.

My OH had a Three sim and made £10 last nearly 3 years (before she discovered the joys of Instagram and got a cheap monthly sim only) Anyway, 3 mobile only require you to use it for a call/text every 180 days. So a top-up can last you years on that basis, as long as you don't then buy an 'add on' with the credit0

And so what do I need to do? Order a Three sim card? Does it come deactivated? How do I put credit on it, rather than a plan?
