    Ok great thanks for the info! Best of luck! One more question - how long approx did it take for the valuation? I have been informed it could take a while as there is a large backlog from the pandemic.

    Did I read this right?
    We were told all was good and they would now instruct the mortgage valuation yesterday... so this stage should be quite quick?

    Good luck with the valuation today! After mine they had to fill in an extra report for new build which I can't remember what's it's called and offer issued 3 days after valuation date.

    Hi - yes I was told that the valuation can take a while as the surveyors are working through a large backlog of valuation surveys. Mine requires a physical inspection, so would be keen to hear how long it took others?

    Halifax has finally issued a mortgage offer! I should receive it by post in the next couple of days. Of course L&C has yet to notify me, and I had to chase Halifax directly in order to find things out!
