Halifax Valuation Today

UPDATE - L&C f****d it up big times! After talking to Halifax again, they found out that my earnings were put wrong in the affordability calculator and that the flat I am buying does not require an EWS1 form. A nice lady from L&C emailed me saying that she sorted everything out and that Halifax will get back to me within three working days. I am so stressed!

Apparently the underwriters are only working three days a week from what L&C told me. I really hope I get anything back by Monday, otherwise I will make my own application with Barclays.

I had my valuation Monday and called each day and just got off the phone and they confirmed Ive been offered the mortgage and paid the product fee. Literally shaking and tears of joy.

Congratulation!! I am still waiting. How many soft searches did Halifax do before issuing you with an offer?

I only had a soft ID check with Halifax and could only see it on Experian.

Hey - I am processing a mortgage with Halifax. Valuation booked in and awaiting the results. My understanding is that they will offer mortgage after the valuation. Do I need to provide anymore information as part of the underwriting process?? Such as more pay slips, P60 etc. Or do they just ask for that once?

I have already uploaded 3 months pay slips but this was a few months back, just wanted to check if I need to prepare any other documents/payslips/P60 etc

They don't ask for any other documentation. They should issue the offer right after the evaluation. Halifax told me they will issue my offer by today. so let's see!
