I think you might find that most members of this forum with experience of Trusteer, hate it with a passion

I wouldn't say I hate it but it is totally useless unless you are normally using internet explorer (which you shouldn't be). Browsers like Chrome, Firefox and Safari already have the features of TR built into them natively. Waste of disk space and time really.

    Hi Guys
Like some of this forum, in the past I frequently experienced numerous problem with Trusteer Rapport extension where if stops working and will need to reinstall it again. So I remove it.
I have mutated my OS to Windows 11 Pro. Also I already have Malwarebyte Premium in addition to AVAST anti virus. What is your opinion about reinstalling Trusteer Rapport  extension? Pro and Contra please??

Don't reinstall TR it's useless and no longer needed....Uninstall Avast and use Windows defender with your Malwarebytes. You won't need anything else to carry on safely.
If you read the thread you wouldn't be needing to ask the question.... ;):)

Appreciate your answer. I did read the whole thread. I wonder why some banks, financial institution like Santander are recommending their customers to Install Trusteer Rapport. What is the point of recommending to their customers if it is useless ??

"Trusteer Rapport is an IBM software product that was originally developed to protect against Man in the Browser (MiiB) attacks back when the popular browsers didn't have abilities like sandboxing or other isolation techniques to protect them from being corrupted and taken over by various forms of malware.

Since the time Rapport was created, both the browsers and Windows itself have changed greatly, while though Rapport may have had to change some to continue working as well, it's outdated technology trying to do things that aren't really necessary anymore."

So in other words... if you're using Internet Explorer it might be of use, as this thing hasn't been updated since... well forever basically and its end of life in any event so you probably shouldn't be using it anyway.

If your browser's not IE and is relatively up to date, you don't need Rapport, as it does nothing that your modern browser can't do anyway.
