Trusteer Rapport for online banking

Hi folks,
Recently upgraded my windows 10 partition that I use for online banking to v2004 (latest Windows major update) and I notice that Trusteer Rapport extension for browsers has stopped working and no end of troubleshooting will get it to work again, a few banks do recommend it, though I do have Malwarebytes Premium from RBS as well.
I have had problems with Rapport before but usually got it to work again by re-installing etc this time no joy, and then there is always the nag screen from bank if you haven't got it installed.
I'm beginning to think this extension is more trouble than its worth and maybe even a security risk as it does seem to have a lot of control over what you do banking wise. There is no way I would let support take over my computer remotely if they wanted to fix it that way
I have just read this online abut Rapport,
https://computing.which.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/115005579745-Should-you-use-Trusteer-Rapport-
So for security have windows firewall and antivirus and Malwarebytes premium, Thoughts appreciated about Rapport and whether you use it or not?
Many Thanks.

I think you might find that most members of this forum with experience of Trusteer, hate it with a passion 😢😊But just for the record, I have been running with the latest W10 2004 update for about 2 weeks now and no Trusteer problems whatsoever (Emerald build 1955.62)1

If any bank mandated that I install Trusteer Rapport in order to access my account online, I would change banks...2

Thanks for replies, Yes I have uninstalled it after having it for years.
Now when I went to uninstall it asked me if I wanted to sit back and more or less watch while someone fixed it (remote access to computer?)
I thought this was one of the golden rules of banking.

That's just a last ditch attempt to try and get you to keep it. Some anti-virus software offer the same "help" as well. Although from what I've seen of these the "help" seems to consist of "take it off, restart, put it back on again, problem sorted".

Did you use the 'proper' cRapport removal tool?

Horrible thing. Get rid of it and never allow it back. I've not seen much reference to it lately. Which bank(s) still using it would be useful so it/they can be avoided?0

First Direct 'recommend' it, but their link "to the Trusteer Rapport website" goes somewhere arbitrary into the maw of IBM, its current owner. So not that much of a recommendation, then!

Bank of America, Santander, HSBC, First Direct, Co-op Bank.
