Outfox the market negative comments unjustified
Options
I am still confused why Outfox the Market is still getting incredibly bad press from this site. I have been with them for 3 years now, my partner for them 2. We search regularly to see if they can be beaten but they aren't, their customer service is FABULOUS yet this site says in red to be careful about switching because of bad customer service. I would like to know when this is based on? They had a glitch over a year ago when they tried to change their payment system, people disagreed so they changed it again according to their customers wishes. They should be applauded for that. I can't imagine the big companies doing that. Their website is an absolute doddle to use, their live chat is efficient, their Facebook page is manned by a really friendly efficient guy too . So, genuine question for somebody from MSE is when are your negative comments based on? When have you last looked at the Energy companies for recent customer experiences?

This is a forum and as such negative comments tend to be from users or those who have priced up and found them more expensive .MSE don't read this forum as such why not ask them the question via CEC contact us .2

Thanks, I was hoping they would monitor it. I looked at the contact us section but couldn't see an appropriate one, just ones for the energy club etc

The ratings on the cheap energy club do seem to be stuck in the past. I guess you just have to make your own judgement.1

Why do you care what other people are saying ?
If you are happy with their service then that’s great. Good for you.
How does it affect you, what the reviews are saying and whether or not a website is recommending them ?
You confusion, confuses me.2 -
Was it Outfox who took legal action against a facebook group who were collectively having issues with them?
Edit: https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-6817239/Stop-harassing-Facebook-pay-10-000-Outfox-Markets-angry-customers.html
Yes it was - at the time they were ranked bottom for customer service by citizens advice and Which?
Historically, they have been one of the worsts out there and the customers who were with them a year ago and had issues are unlikely to still be with them now.
They can't quite believe the change which has taken place in the last year to their services and hence they think it's all a farce.

They just target a few customers at a time rather than the blanket action they took before which got them so much bad publicity.Their financials are out for all to see from their latest submission to Companies House. Have a look, search “BASTIAN PLC”.It makes for interesting reading but customers shouldn't have to bear the brunt of them being out of their depth.I would advise anyone having trouble with this supplier to seek support from “OUTFOX THE MARKET DISCUSSION” Facebook group, as I did. They were all so kind there.0 -
Yeah I read through their accoutns the other week.
Last couple of pages shows how they have interest etc. in about 30 seperate companies which all owed money to Bastian PLC.
They've recently removed the quoting for both Foxglove and Economy7 energy, which adding a 'Fischer Energy' tariff to Outfox - means they're likely closing down the other two and just focusing on outfox.
Whatever is happening with the customer service, good or bad, most of the negativity towards them comes because of the owners and their questionable business actions.0 -

Ultimately Social media is not a place for debate or changing minds. It is graffiti on the back of a toilet door. Sometimes amusing. Often offensive. Keep that in mind and you will always see it for what it is.

I didn’t see anything racist or bigoted on there. Quite the opposite. The group rules seem to be very strict and they appear to have booted many members. For Outfox The Market to raise customers direct debits to unmanageable levels during this Covid pandemic, is reprehensible. At a time when almost every other company is trying to help customers and demonstrate forbearance.People’s energy have launched a fund to help struggling customers - matching donations £ for £.0 -
