If you don't fall down, how do you know when to get back up again.

I know it's hard, the world is against 'success', but the way I see it is those people who have had it easy, never experienced what we have, struggled financially etc are not actually the lucky ones. They've not learned some heavy skills which get them through 'adulting' and build the foundation to learn. It's a lot harder as an adult to learn new skills.

I know you can do this Ren, there's a strong, independent woman fighting to get out 🤗

I'm sure I heard a song like that somewhere...!

Yes, I read some other diaries on one of the forums, where one poster has never learned that, so is struggling despite a large income... so no foundation for it.

I now have 'I'm every woman' sound track running through my thoughts, thanks Babs! :D
Closely followed by 'I will survive'...

1 of 3 completed. Found a working ATM, withdrew £20 cash, so have my weekly shopping budget in my bag. Result!

Managed to steer relative safely through first hospital appointment, though there was a dodgy moment when they appeared in a hospital gown back in the waiting room, having gone through the wrong door, with both me and the nurses desperately shouting 'No the other way!' All I can say is, thank God it was the top half being investigated, not the bottom, yes it was one of those gowns, backless....groan...

Chatting to relative on the way back, gave up trying to convince them that they cannot buy Scotch eggs from the local chippy, did they mean pickled ones? Which they were determined they could, and no, it definitely was Scotch eggs they bought...

:D Dunno if it's me going more crazy or them by the day....ha!

    Yaaay first task down 🤗
I can't believe those gowns are still being used, talk about no dignity for the wearer. At least that is one appointment down.
Nothing surprises me about what chippies sell anymore, since moving up here 🙈

Ah yes - who can forget the 'fried mars bars' moment? Wait, don't tell me they fry up Scotch eggs? I will never hear the end of it...

Easter it's deep fried cream eggs 😂

Just checked my local chippy menu, no mention of scotch eggs but a quick search online shows some chippies do sell them!
Worse still, there was a news report - fighting over one 🤨

Bleurgh! To the deep fried cream eggs.. :s  Have they no idea how to eat those? I mean, come on, surely you know you have to dip them in your hot tea or cocoa? Obviously after peeling the foil off....! :D Or just straight out the foil? He, he, he.... Shame I don't eat those now, not vegan....

Well, I'll go to the foot of my stairs, if I had any, I had not heard of 'Scotch egg wars'....

Seems to be if it can be battered, it can be fried. Not been able to bring myself to try it, or the deep fried pizza. Give me normal chippy food any day!

Trying not to shudder at the excessive deep frying going on in your neck of the woods. :s

I used to enjoy a nice fish and chip supper, now I can't face fish, even if its disguised in batter. Never mind, I console myself with the fact that a lot of them might be infused with so many plastic particles, they are half-way to being synthetic away... :D Ha!

I went off chippy fish at the last place, had a strange chemical taste as if they didn't rinse their equipment enough. TomBo and cat enjoy it from our new chippy and she gets so disappointed if he has something else!

Must find you a link for the vegan fish 😉

Edit to add - T sell qu0rn vegan fish 😁

Right, I have procrastinerated, I mean dithered long enough.  :)

I am going to face the dreaded bank today, and make sure the savings account is properly up and running, clutching £2 of my stash cash in my hot little hand. Not enough to get the 'urge splurge' over-excited, but, enough to ensure there is something in it... Plus the damned paperwork, plus my assertive hat, not my 'Oh, ok, right, I will go away' nice attitude before sloping away.... And I am leaving the £20 AT HOME.

Before I go out into the weirdness, I have been thinking (always dangerous), and come to some conclusions (which all of you already know and have been hammering it home to me):

    a) I have focused on the wrong things, e.g. 'lack of' - like lack of income, lack of savings, lack of weight loss.
    b) I should focus on the positive (I can hear you yelling at the back - That's what we've said already!) Ha!
    cough
    d) For example: It's not the lack of progress on the weight, I should be focusing on a 'whole life' healthy lifestyle.
    e) Plan it/organise it/spreadsheet it/set goals/beat it with a wet dog towel, i.e. beat those goals and 'to-do's into submission...

Off I tootle into the weird land of mask/space/hand gel-ishness... not looking forward to the bus, as my brain is thinking stupid thoughts like how do I get away from people in a confined space/cougher's/no-maskers/weird folks like me.... :D
