Interested to hear views on buying uk government bonds in the next few months. I don't know much about this but is it likely that the government will be issueing a new batch with all the money they need to recover

The government issues new bonds/gilts all the time but the pace has increased recently .
Whether they are a good investment is a different question altogether and a complex one .
They are safe but offer a very low return , so it depends what you are looking for. For a small investor you would be better off keeping the cash in a savings account.0 -
