Doubt anybody has any idea without more information. How long does it take you now? How much do you charge now? How much longer do you think a deep clean will take?1

Hi sorry last year I was charging £50 for the changeover which was two - two and half hours work Im guessing it’s going to take longer now as it will be deep cleans I haven’t given a price yet I’m just after some help in pricing it 😊0

If you charge £x per hour and a normal clean between lets takes 3 hours, that is 3 times £x.
If it will now take 4 hours, then you need to charge 4 times £x.1 -
I don’t charge per hour it’s per lodge ?0

Yes, but you know how long it takes and what you charge. You need to consider what extra things you need to do, how long that will take and work out what would be per hour. So if it was £50 for two hours of work and it will now take three then £75 would give you the same per hour.1

Do you provide the cleaning materials and if yes, are you going to be using more? You will need to cover the cost of extra cleaning supplies."All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well."1

Thank you for your reply’s! Yes I supply all my own cleaning products toilet rolls I also will have to wash the pillow and mattress protectors each change over do you think £75 is a good price including washing the protectors?0
-
No-one can say whether £75 is or is not a good price. It is a case of what is a fair change from what you charged before to what you will charge now and that depends on the time and materials that will be different (extra). After working out that, you may then want to think about what quality the holiday homes are. The impact of a change in cleaning cost for a £400/week caravan or £2k per week beach side villa is quite different - bear in mind the owner may have limited opportunity to pass on the costs to renters.0

I would suggest a better option may be to charge them for the normal clean and state that as you will now be doing an extra clean you will charge them per hour on top as long as it takes you, rather then a set fee. If they can pass the cost on or not is irrelevant. Most cottages have up the prices anyway as demand is far higher.1
