I have no doubt that it's a genuine LBC , the OP should treat it as such
  • What do you mean genuine? As to what? Should I expect a CCBC after the 30 days are up & if Sainsburys directly won’t help?

Is it worth going to EPC directly?

If I did end up having to go through the CCBC & MCOL as a defendant I don’t have much on my side for evidence.. starting to worry that this won’t end up my way

A 'genuine' LBC seems to be so described if 30 days are provided for response and a sheaf of paperwork/links to it as per the PaP is given. But the key element is a formal court claim via the Northampton CCBC - that is the litmus test. Let's see how they go about issuing a claim on behalf of a debt collector which has no direct interest in any parking charge.  The motorist didn't enter any contract with a debt collector in the process of parking their vehicle.

Anyone can issue a LBC, there's no cost, and as far as I understand, no consequence for issuing a malevolent one. Ask @D_P_D, he knows all about it because he recommends issuing a LBC all the time!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    genuine as opposed to fake

the 30 days notice and inclusuion of financial forms, plus the fact CST law are issuing a lot of these at the moment indicates that ECP are finally jumping on the bandwagon,. probably due to a lack of revenue during the lockdown, same as everyone else , so a genuine LBC

    think about it !!!

no its not worth going to ECP directly, you have been told several times to complain to the landowner, as the newbies thread tells everyone who comes here to do, as I said earlier, you should have done this 2 years ago !!! better late than never

You will be fine, calm down and take the letters (PCN refs on them?) in to the store manager.    They can cancel them.  Hopefully it will be easier than some.

DO NOT speak to the little jobsworth on the CS desk...do NOT be fobbed off that the aprking firm 'owns' the car park (they don't) and ONLY discuss this with the Store manager.

And if that fails, email the CEO of the retailer (Head Office).

Hey guys.. near enough a year later & I received the dreaded CCJ claim form.. after the last time I spoke to you guys I did go into store and I was assured that my number would be passed onto the manager which clearly it didn’t.. I was silly not to peruse it further but I guess I got caught up in covid so here we are :( asking for £1200 for 7 pcns is criminal! Any advice on what to do next other than respond with the acknowledgement & start creating a defense?

What is the Issue Date on your County Court Claim Form?

And by the way... there is no letter 's' in Defence.   ;)

And you don't have a CCJ and you won't.
