LBC from CST law on behalf of DRP

Options
Hey guys,

first of all i’d appreciate any help I can get regarding this so TIA.

The receiver of the letter first received letters from Euro car parks LTD back in the end of 2017 from euro car parks & received 2 pcns dating  mid 2017 & early 2018 for both overstaying in a Sainsbury’s.

The last letter I received from them up until now was from DRP over 2 years ago with final settlement offers & to avoid court action the usual rubbish.

Now all of a sudden I have received 2 LBCs from CST law stating please reply within 30 days & includes info sheets and financial forms.. the letter itself is hardly professional with some writing being overlapped & some ink prints down the side. Looks like they’ve used scrap paper for it!

However I know LBCs are not to be taken lightly so I would appreciate any help you guys have regarding what to do next!

Many thanks

    Complain to Sainsburys CEO first.

Read the NEWBIES thread second post and send Euro Car Parks a SAR by email, for all letters/photos.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just sent the SAR off to euro car parks so will await there reply..

will also go into the store tomorrow & try to resolve the issue with them so hopefully this doesn’t go any further than it needs to.. surely must be some kindness in there hearts over a couple of pcns from over 2 years ago.

I’ll post an update on how I get on, thanks again!

should have been done 2 years ago, to avoid the "rubbish"

the threat of court action is a real one , especially if the 30 days notice plus financial forms stage has been reached, ECP will probably try court with somebody , sometime , so will start on English multiple ticket ones IMHO

From your thread title, do CST Law say they are acting on behalf of DRP?

Honestly little naive 18 year old me 2 & a half years ago I thought I was untouchable! How wrong I was lol..

I go into the store about 3 times a week as I work near it so hopefully that may have some part to play.. we will find out.

regarding the letter received from CST law, it reads ‘we are instructed by Debt Recovery Plus Limited, as the agent of Euro Car Parks Ltd, to commence legal action against you to recover the amount outstanding’ then goes on to say the amount is predetermined & nominal contribution to our clients losses as a direct result of your non repayment. They are asking for £290!

ECP instruct a solicitor firm if they want to try court (or they do it themselves) , not a debt collector

Drpl cannot instruct a law firm with this , so drpl would have to refer it back to Ecp

I haven’t heard from EPC since the first couple
of pcns, after that is has mainly been. DRPL &  a few from zenith at the very start..I will still contact Sainsburys directly & get my SAR from euro car parks invade they still do proceed to give me a CCJ, but what i’m understanding from what you’ve said is that DRPL or zenith can’t actually take me to court, only ECP.. right?

This has been going on for over 2 years is there a cut off point where if they don’t take action it is voided?

Thanks again for all the advice, would of been lost otherwise.

The Court claim pack comes from the CCBC in Northampton , using MCOL , no matter who issues it

The claimant ECP has 6 years to try it , it's been that way in England since 1973 , apart from moving online in the last decade

A loss in court is the CCJ , County court judgment
