Discrimination for asking for a refund

  • This is not discrimination please look up the word.
Of course it's discrimination if they're only kicking one person out. Please look up the word.
It isn't illegal discrimination, and there's nothing much that can be done about it.
So did everyone ask for a refund? And only you got kicked out? Which protected group is your child in? (There are 9 protected characteristics against which you can legally make a Discrimination claim)

If classes are full to capacity and there is a waiting list I would imagine many groups similar to this will decide to kick out anyone who didn’t support them through these difficult times.

It’s also difficult financially for those that support the clubs. Some clubs are offering refunds or deferals without being asked. This club has indicated it may not be trading for much longer, so I asked for a refund.
If they aren't trading much longer, isn't it good that you aren't with them any more?

" They say that their terms and conditions say no refunds. "
Did you read those when you first enrolled your child? If not, you missed something important. If you did, you obviously ignored it. Either way, it means your child is out. It's not discrimination, it's yet another example of people not reading T&C's, happens a lot on here.
My grandaughter has been in a very good dance school for many years, until this crisis. I have asked my daughter about the T&C's at the school and she read them when she enrolled our gd. It is now apparent that the school may be folding, which will be a blow to the community, because they have perhaps 200+ members, from 4 yo's to adults who have been there since they were 4 years old. They put on shows in theatres, including the local one, which is always packed.
Take a little time to think about not only your child, but children all over the country whose schools may not recover from the current situation. The dance staff work hard and are totally dedicated, their livelihood and business is on the line.
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.
