Virgin/EE has been down all day today, it finally came back on about 5.30pm. However, although I can make and receive calls, and according to the settings of my phone, data is on, it isn't. For FB and receiving e-mails, I have to be connected to my wifi.

Before I have to contact the awful customer services in India or wherever, can anybody suggest how I get my data working again?
