PGL adventure holiday and refund credit note

Hello all. I've cancelled an adventure holiday that I had booked for my child with PGL in August. I cancelled within the period that meant I would only lose my deposit. Rather than a refund of the remaining balance they've provided me with a refund credit note meaning that I won't get my money back until 31st Jan 2021 
They've cited the ABTA guidance. I've replied to them to confirm that I do not wish to rebook and that I want a refund as soon as possible, particularly as they haven't had to book hotels/ flights etc. No joy.
Any advice on how I can redeem the refund credit note and get my money back please?
PS = huge apologies for posting this on someone else's thread earlier. Sigh!
