Today is husband's first day back volunteering.  He restores aircraft for a local museum.  They had a meeting last week about how it is going to work.  Reduced opening hours for the public and volunteers.  He must wear a mask and gloves.  The bit that annoyed him the most was he has to supply his own mask  He does dust causing work and frankly, I've told him all along that they should have been providing masks because of the dust.  The volunteers are all retired veterans,  we joke that it retains the wives sanity.

I’ve been allowed to exercise up to 3 times a day, and there are plenty of lovely places to walk around here so I don’t feel the need to venture much further for now. I have a few stealth mission’s to perform -an early morning visit to the bottle bank and a food collection point to drop some stuff off. I’m fascinated by people’s skips at the moment - I salvaged one or two useful bits 😃

I can’t believe the horrible stories I’m hearing of where people are going to the toilet down by the river and on the beach 🙁

I shall stick to going out in the early mornings and the evenings. There are only dog walkers around at that time – and they are always friendly. I think I’ve enjoyed the solitude and peace and quiet of lockdown
