Charges for Vehicle Cleaning during service

I have just booked my van in for its MOT and Service and have been told I will be charged extra for the car to be sanitised before and after the works. Is this normal? I have had other treatments etc and not been charged for someone's PPE so it seems odd to be charged for this?

Sanitising before and after will mean a technician or other employee being taken from other work to do this, or employing some person(s) specifically to do it. That's extra labour charge, someone has to do it. No one with a regular, salaried job gets paid nothing for working, do you?

I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.
