Changing Pay&Go to Contract, new provider

I'm on Vodafone Pay&Go. I am looking into taking a contract because my monthly costs are increasing above £10. I bought a smart phone which takes a nano sim, my old phone had a larger sim so I got a new nano sim from Vodafone, keeping the old number. With that sim I was given a PUK code and a Sim Lock four digit code. If I change from Vodafone to a new provider keeping my phone number do I need anything else from Vodafone?

Only your PAC code.

Did you buy your phone from Voda?
if so, it may be 'network locked' (only able to be used on that network) - but, unlocking is possible depending on make/model

Not sure what your deal is with Voda, but VOXI, Voda's cheap cousin has a deal on at he moment, SIM only, 30 day rolling, 12gb unlimited everything else, tenner a month https://www.voxi.co.uk/plans?CID=Aff-awin&awc=10951_1592920634_1f0b92279a08e7e2441b24d811593fba

Thank you for all your replies. The phone was bought totally separately and is unlocked. I shall therefore just ask for the PAC when I've decided which contract to go with. Thank you Farway for your suggestion. I don't think it came up on any comparison site.
