Safestyle UK disaster

Safestyle UK started our windows and doors, a 2 day job in February and have only just completed, nearly 4 months later.  There was a catalogue of disasters including, not turning up when I’d taken time off work on several occasions, damaging ornate stonework around our door, fitting a different colour frame to the door, badly fitting the door so it warped and needed replacing, mixing me up with another customer and insisting they’d spoken to me when they hadn’t, sending the scaffolders to the wrong house, ordering the wrong materials, leaving work incomplete during the lockdown.
All along they said they would negotiate compensation on completion, but are only offering their standard £500. They now have stopped me being able to truthfully comment on their Fb page, but people should hear the bad stories, not just filtered good comments. I don’t know how to get fair recompense for what they have put us through, but please be careful if you are considering this company. We cannot recommend them after what they have put us through.

Commiserations, that sounds like a nightmare.
  • SAFESTYLE UK - Steer Clear of this company

I had a window and door installed on March 4th 2021 - only to notice 2 days later a big gap had appeared in roof, we had a roofer around who said he couldn't touch it and suggested a builder he came around and said it was because NO LINTEL had been put over the window as suggested by their assessor. We have emailed and sent messages only to be fobbed off every time - they sent someone to put up scaffolding and said builder would come next day. A builder turned up in car pointed at roof and vanished - what a joke. I've been onto CAB, TRADING STANDARDS, FENZA AND TRUSTSAFE. Trading standards are looking into it no news yet yet. FENZA and TRUST PILOT must have the same management team - they gave me a lot of guff and gobblegook but basically said I had to take it up with SAFESTYLE wish i thought of that. In there paperwork they state that they cover us for faulty workmanship and would pay for all cost yet in an email they are avoiding this at all cost.

So I've gone into our BUILDING INSURANCE and we have discovered we are covered and so Our solicitor will be getting involved and suing them. We have had a builder around to tell us what is wrong and what needs fixing - he spoke a lot of builders speak, but basically the gable wall end needs to be rebuilt, a lintel put in over window, the Perlin - the main structure holding up the roof is hanging on by mm, the floor is rotting because its been open to the element for a nearly a month. The the initial costing is around £8k but maybe more when they've sat down and worked it out.

This company is a joke , if they had held there hands up and fixed it - i would of accepted but because they are ignoring me, being evasive and just not communicating - I feel i need to fight for the rights of customers.
