ISA's and IFA's?

I have an ISA which was set up by an IFA who no longer advises me.
I mistakenly thought I could manage the ISA myself BUT the money had been invested with an ISA company who only operate via financial advisors. I have no qualms about them.
I have been granted a small amount of time by the ISA company to appoint a new IFA but clearly they cannot tell me who to appoint. I have no one able to make personal recommendations and understand no one here can name names either but please how do I find a new IFA? And be certain they have all the necessary skills?
I have other investments that a new IFA may be able to advise on but the ISA is a pressing need just now.
I would appreciate your advice please.

please how do I find a new IFA
Google is not a bad option. Most local firms will appear if you google IFA firms in your area.
And be certain they have all the necessary skills? They cannot be called IFAs if they do not.

Managing an ISA, pensions & other investments is the bread and butter work of all IFA's . Plus they work within a highly regulated environment so they have to all pass the right exams etc.
Have you thought about whether you need a IFA at all ? You could transfer the ISA to a provider that is happy to deal with you direct. It maybe possible even to transfer over the same investments within the ISA ( sometimes it is not possible and the transfer has to be in cash )
I am not saying you should, and you may prefer to work with an IFA rather than DIY, but that option for the ISA is open to you .0 -
Hello new on here... I’m wondering can you transfer only part of an existing ISA to a new provider so as to free up some cash or does it have to be moved as a whole. Thanks in advance of any advice

Some do not. You would need to check with your current provider and proposed provider.
