October Holiday

I am self isolating as I am 81 yrs old with Heart condition & type 2 Diabetes and have a holiday booked in Tenerife on 6th October 2020 with TUI. We do NOT think it will be safe to go but our money balance is due in a couple of weeks do I have to pay this?
If you have decided you do not want to go then the only option is to cancel with the loss of your deposit.  We had a trip to the Canaries in August for which we have done just that at a loss of £400.
We also have another holiday booked with Tui for October to Lanzarote.  The balance is due in a couple of weeks.  We are holding off making a decision to see what happens with covid and travel abroad.  There is the option to transfer to next year at a cost of £50 per person.  The holiday may well be more expensive though. I also had an email from Tui yesterday saying anyone traveling in October would be contacted by them before the end of July.  They are obviously well aware of the doubts their customers are experiencing.
Basically, my advice is to wait until just before you need to part with more money then decide the best way forward.
Good advice pattycake.   Although zimmerman18  if you are adamant that you are not going to go to Tenerife in October no matter what, cancelling now might save you some money?   Check the t's and c's to see what the difference is in cancelling now as opposed to 2 weeks.    If negligible I  would hang on to see what the situation is in 2 weeks.

Thanks for that heads up, we are due to travel October half term but haven’t had that email yet. My balance is due 24th July so would definitely love to hear something before that point.
