    People who are fully health funded don’t have social workers in my area because social workers are local authority not the CCG (Safeguarding aside) and the local authority are not involved in the person’s care when they fall fully under the health umbrella. 

    The situation has still not been resolved. Human Rights assessment pending.

    They were very lucky (although not to need it in the first place) to get CHC funding as they would normally have needed to evidence residency in the UK, and that would have involved copies of rent/mortgage, council tax bill, etc...

    It sounds like they escaped bring under the radar probably as they were registered with a GP and nationality was not questioned through the process.

    I'm sorry I can't help about how to claim benefits, but I do know someone in a funded home and most of the benefits they can claim are used to pay for the home and living, there is a small pocket money element only left for the person.

    Yes, it’s £25 allowance per week, give or take. Which is still a lot better than the nothing currently being received.
