I think they just try to pray on the people that they think will back down and pay up, they seemed to lose interest when I said cancel the charge or give me a popla number,
there's a lot of people that pay the £80 near where i work just because its easier, the sooner they get shut down the better

Its great to know you guys are out there fighting the good fight
    Thanks again

A lot of parking firms do cancel when they realise you aren't a pushover, especially when sussed that their NTK is non-POFA.  The joy of receving a golden ticket from ParkingEye!

The advice from nosferatu1001 is very like the style of appeal a lot of us do for people...the last one I did said:

''POPLA code please, or you may as well cancel... it'll be easier all round'' (they cancelled).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I dont like to tiptoe around, especially when its PE who at least do cancel when told in no uncertain terms like that. It saves any waffle!

@ChetManly, I see you've opened a new thread about a quite separate incident. Where are you up to on this one re ParkingEye?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
