Hey first time posting
Had Major issues with Evans cycles and getting zero response after order confirmed, I ordered 20 days ago with the bike coming today - however wrong bike is being sent not the one I ordered. There delivery times online at 3-7 days however the responses time for customer services if you contact them is 10-15 day however no response from them either. I will need to send the bike back that is coming today however due to not being able to get hold of anyone at the company this will be a nightmare and god knows when I will or if I will ever get what I ordered. Just need some advice from anyone on my best way of moving forward?
ive contacted numerous teams in Evans cycles and also thought my works ride to work scheme and no reply from anyone - is trading standards a good idea?

I'd doubt trading standards could help. Bike shops are overworked and under supplied at the moment.

just refuse the bike0

I think it's already been delivered(?). Where the OP has "is being" I think they meant "has been". (For some reason I thought English might not be OP's first language - I may be entirely wrong.)

How did the OP know that the wrong bike was being delivered if it hadn't arrived at the time of making the post? (The above post may be correct, but I'm taking the OP at face value).0

Not sure maybe the dispatch note that has being emailed says whats coming.DoaM said:How did the OP know that the wrong bike was being delivered if it hadn't arrived at the time of making the post? (The above post may be correct, but I'm taking the OP at face value).
The OP does say being sent rather than been sent0 -
How do you know the wrong bike is being sent? What's wrong? The size? The model? Everything?
Did you purchase via the website? Did you click the right dropdown for example to choose the right specification/frame size?Bike store are very stretched at the moment due to a HUGE rise in the number of people suddenly needing a bike (something to do with this bug going around) so you are likely to find customer service response a little slow at the present time. You'll probably need a little bit of patience - and it'll all resolve itself - the important thing is - don't get all worked up about it - get everything in writing, send it via their complaints or customer service email, and you'll get there in the end. Current customer service responses are not at pre-covid levels yet for many, many companies, and it's easy to jump up and down because our problem is big to us, but in the grand scheme of things we've got to go with the flow until things sort themselves out.0 -
Every time I used to go into their shop there were three assistants crowded round the computer and customers waiting patiently to be served. They're crap.
I know Domestos kills 99% of germs, but I'm worried about the 1% that got away.0 -
So it's now the day after the apparent delivery - what happened?0

Hi, I ordered a bike on the 19th July and its not arrived and don't even have a delivery date, Evans have turned their phones off so can't call their customer service, and the online response as mentioned in another post is rubbish, I can't even cancel the order as they don't respond. Completed joke and NO customer service at all, take your money and run, I hope they read some of these posts and feel ashamed. I wish I could get someone on the phone and explain way it take this long to deliver a bike when they are advertising the dispatch deliveries in 3-14 days, surely this is false advertising.0 -
