REDRUBY you just beat me to it!! I was going to tell GERS I got some white china mugs in Sainsburys some time ago. I am down to the last one now sadly! I said I was gormless didn't I?! Next time I go in I will have a look and see if they still sell them.
I am just off the phone with the vascular surgeon. Usual questions on how far I can walk (not far if it involves a hill or an incline) and what is the pain like. It's hard to describe pain isn't it? Anyway he has suggested some tablets I might want to try which may, or may not, help. He is going to mention them in his report to the doctor. I get so fed up of it I am going to ask if my doctor can prescribe some. No doubt it will involve a telephone appointment and then facing the Spanish inquisition. And fingers crossed there are no horrible side effects if I do get them!
Well the glorious sunshine of earlier seems to have disappeared behind cloud now! I shall resume my pottering and if it does come back I shall be outside with my book.
Take care all xx ps MILLICENT lovely photo!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Washing out and Mr Fix It back from an emergency call at Dad's. He'd forgotten how to use his DVD player ! All sorted and now we just had another call from Dad to go through the button pushing sequence again !TA sorry about your call, they didn't seem very helpful. Hope you can get the meds from the DR's easily ( good luck with that too ) and they do work.taff thanks. I'm not quite back as the Welsh Waffler yet and I bet you're happy about that ! With ref to your sorting out the batons, do you have a laser level ?, 'cos that's what I'd use......... or a man to do it for meGers I don't like a builders mug, but most others will do for me. I'm such a delicate flowerMillicent I seem to have lost all my robins this year
They have been overtaken by baby blackbirds, sparrows and B52's ( wood pigeons ) Oh and 3 very amusing squirrel babies.

Thanks for the Sainsbury tip - I've found this online https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/all-tableware-44/sainsburys-porcelain-mug-white--basics so I'll go to investigate this during the week. So far it looks good if a bit thick, fingers crossed it's just a bad photo!Talking of photos - what a brilliant one Millicent, so close too.I went out for my walk only for the rain to start so I got very wet.
Not what I hope for so I didn't go too far. The nearest next door neighbour invited me in to see their new flooring in their bedroom (the source of the dry rot problem) and hallway. It's all oak and looks stunning. We are all almost at the end of the remedial works, it'll all soon be a passing memory.

TAFF - no didn’t see GW , I will see if I can find it on iplayer!
NANNY - that’s a shame about your robins but love watching all the baby birds, even the B52’s😂.
We seem to have had an explosion of baby blue tits, coal tits and great tits as well as all of the VERY noisy baby starlings. We do have to be careful though as we have a very persistent sparrow hawk who sits in the tree and we have to physically push it out with the washing prop!
We also now have a “lodger” a badger has set up home underneath our garden shed!
Can you tell that we love wildlife 😬
GERS & TA - thank you I did actually manage to get it to take mealworms out of my hand but being a bit squeamish the sensation of them wriggling on my fingers put me off😏.

Afternoon everyone
I had little grand daughter to stay again and she slept from 7 till 7 so no complaints! Walked down with her to go for a walk with dad but unfortunately it started to rain after just 10 minutes, so we went back and sat in the garage and had a cuppa. Little one crawled round the grubby garage floor and threw foam bricks around - I made a barricade of chairs so she couldn't escape! Back home and put her down for her nap after 11 and. so far, she's still quiet. DD will pick her up about 2 then I plan to have a quiet afternoon with my Sunday Times - it never got opened yesterday.
Hope everyone has a good day

Dinner today will be LO pork, mash and mixed veg, fruit and rhubarb with ice cream to follow.

OH had a nice day yesterday......I missed my own father......he has been gone since 1994 but it doesn't seem to make much difference.

It has been a lovely day Chez Nous. The afternoon tea brigade were wonderfully friendly eating all of the virtual scones and clotted cream left over from Father's Day Special. Next door allowed me free rein to pick the cherry tree clean.... they are rather tart!!!! We freeze them for crumble, complete with stones as they are blighters to destone. The first bowlfull I made into a very sloppy coulis. Not a great idea, so into the freezer they go.The arbour is getting nicer each day (I love your company) as the fallen leaves agin the shed are slowly being removed so there is a clear pathway to the seats. Bring your own cushions.I have porcelain white straight sided mugs, a wedding present, with matching plates etc. Excellent to drink from though too small for everyday use and with a gold band cannot microwave, so they are relegated to the sideboard. Our go-to coffee mugs are all porcelain, I hate the clunky pottery ones. Our morning tea however is served in bucket sized mugs bought in Singapore 25 years ago. The friendly lion embossed on the tankard greets me in the morning to wake me up. The loo dash a little later actually gets me out of bed!4
