For those (nobody) who are interested I test drove both motors and prefer the Evoque.
The Evoque felt like a quality vehicle and I really enjoyed the higher driving position. A little noisy at higher speeds but a comfortable ride. Good range of toys too.
The E-Pace was a letdown. The cabin felt cheap and the materials plasticy. The driving position felt lower than the RR. I felt it would be a downgrade from my XE while the RR would be a superior vehicle.
Deals don’t seem that good at the moment but hopefully a bit of shopping around will prove fruitful. Needless to say salesmen are promising the earth with GFVs etc but I don’t really want to finance but might take it and then settle.

    Any thoughts on these motors?
I’m a current Jag driver and happy with them. Looking to upgrade to a small SUV, from a premium marque.
The RR is more expensive, is it worth it?
    My Dear Sir,
No gentleman would refer to a mudplugger as an 'RR'.  That abbreviation, in the best circles, refers to Rolls Royce, far removed from your plebeian choices of personal transport.
