Iona, men.... Piggers has hit the nail on the head. I think they find the most logical way to do things, reverse it, and go with that as their option.YL I am a bit worried for you love, it sounds as if work is a shower of sh*ite at the moment for you. Is there someone at work you can talk to about all this? They know you've been through the mill with DS recently, and should not have to put up with any rubbish from them too. You are clearly a very diligent employee who works her backside off for them, I know you need the job but I would be having a careful word in the right persons ear to tell them this is making you unhappy - YOU DESERVE BETTER xx
Absolutely loads done, not much to show for it, and huge list written for tomorrow with WATER GARDEN written at the top as the first job. DD has been a cow bag today, almost 8 years old and an attitude like a teen... I really cannot wait to get back to work, and have submitted my keyworker paperwork to school today.Hope you all sleep well - Gosh I almost forgot 🤦🏼♀️ GREAT NEWS KAZ xx11 -
Evening all
Congrats on the house kaz!!I managed quite a lot in the end today, before work I scrubbed both bathrooms and did my dailies, emptied all upstairs bins, tidied lounge, 2 loads of washing done and out to dry. After work I dusted and hoovered the office and spare room, sorted and flung some paperwork, did some admin, cooked tea, rowed with DH (bloomin men!) put my tea in the fridge.. will have for lunch tomorrow, cleared kitchen, folded laundry and put away and did my book club meeting over zoom.
DH has done the ironing while I’ve been in my meeting so that’s ticked off the list too, I am now going to read for a bit before bed.Take care all x10 -

Congratulations kaz - and may your new home bring much joy and happiness xx
Back to work, going to be hot, antibody test today. My anxiety is on overdrive - which is annoying as I had a lovely calm day yesterday - I even peopled. Although DB and DSil have been told they are not people
Bed is made, lunch is packed, birds will be fed. And breathe....
Hope everyone has a lovely day

Morning all. Lots of anxiety around it seems including my DD who was working again yesterday after three months furloughed. She's come out in a rash right away. Hugs to everyone who needs them.
Today I really need to get the grass cut back and front once the dailies are done then I'll alternate 15 mins gardening/ list as this really works for me.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning all
Hugs to all those feeling anxious and /or overwhelmed. I do count myself lucky that I have been able to go safely back to work quite quickly and safely but with no pressure, plus the allotment has probably been a lifesaver in distracting and occupying me. DH is not now coping quite so well.
So today will be allotment (and maybe garden) this morning, and flying this afternoon. The bathroom is back on my list, and also on The List, so no excuses.
Have a lovely day all.8 -
Today I'm going to make my self a veg patch, first I need to work up the energy to dig the weeds out.I am also 'over seeing' the removal of red diesel from a tank in the garden, it seems they are going to pump it out, not too sure how that works as access is not great, and then in the future the tank itself to be removed.I've hoovered round, cleaned the kitchenHugs to all those that needs themBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Good morning!
Sorry I haven't been on here all weekend!! Not much done over the weekend to report. Yesterday I went for a run (well, a run/walk) - it was hot! After shower/breakfast DH and I did the food shop. He cut the grass, took down the bunting (finally!) and did a few jobs off his list. DH & DS cut each other's hair. I wasn't working, but ended up having a work phone call with the area SEN and a phone call from a new local childminder (followed by a visit outside as she was passing). Her little girl kept asking if she could come in to play, and was whinging because I said no, not today. I wasn't impressed! Apparently they had been to the other CM in my road, and had been playing there!! Erm! I don't think so - not here! I do wonder about some people's ideas of lockdown/social distancing!?! I wasn't impressed having to tell her several times either!
Anyhoo! Paid stuff today - early start and my first school drop off in ages! I walked the dog on the way, and have wiped and sprayed before the next one arrived. WM has been on and hung out. I need to check bank accounts and emails, and then play!
Kaz congratulations on the house! I am so pleased you are now settled. I have to admit, I was getting nervous with the amount of work you were doing before it was actually yours, and keeping my fingers crossed for you! I have mentioned no-dig before, so if you are interested look up Charles Dowding on you tube - it works, it is quick and it is back saving!!
YL hugs to you. Wise words from ASB x
Iona I hope DH gets on ok at the hospital today.
Hugs to anyone that needs one, esp those suffering from anxiety at the moment x9 -
GI.. on of the twits OH works with had her birthday yesterday so has pictures of about 20 people in her house and garden and hot tub.. she lives alone so we know they aren't people she lives with! But if the government aren't following their own rules they can't possibly think it is a necessary precaution and at this point when medical services are not likely to be overwhelmed it is probably unnecessary. We all need to be respectful of others choices though, same as always.
1 load of washing in
OH given litter trays to deal with.. they are honking!
I'm having a cuppa and dealing with the gloss.. I need to wipe everything down first and see what else needs filler.
Planned for later.. a driveby gifting for Spambolini who is 8 today.. and screwfix for 2x 3/4'' male to male nipple for my taps.. and OH can take the 3 keys back he had cut the other day because they don't work in the door!
