The new forum simply does not work well on my browser. It is terrible to use IMO. Very little works except the most basic text input. None of the buttons in the edit window work so only basic text can be posted. Before this utter mess, the forum worked very well. The worst thing is that no new lines are possible because the text gets added to one continuos line! Links get converted to clickable links but all on one stupid line! It is unusable and a real trouble to use IMO.

Works all fine on my browser.
And I can make new lines absolutely fine. As this post demonstrates.
Links have always been converted to clickable links - http://www.google.com for example.

Buttons - This is bold, this is bold italic, this is bold italic strike.

I'm a smiley face in the middle :)
No issues as far I can see.

Indeed, This is far more powerful than the previous forum if you know how to use it.

@Neil_Jones I bet you have a nice bright and shiny browser window too, rather than the white on black that I use. Thanks but no thanks. I will leave this forum....bye bye for what it matters.

The forum seems to be working for some and not others......The report button and editing work fine here using New Edge browser.
Have those experiencing problems tried other browsers?
For me, if all those things were not working, I doubt it would bother me too much. As long as the ability to actually post something doesn't disappear then the point of the forum is still there.

Yes. I had noticed how powerful this forum's technology has become when I realised it was no longer possible to quickly and easily highlight text in a different colour to black. The improvements have truly been amazing.

Easy. Strictly speaking its not proper forum "manners" to post in anything but a "normal" colour (which is always always black on white), but if you want it a different colour, it can be done...

Bog standard Firefox installation. Nothing added or taken away. If you're not happy that's your choice. door's over there.

Indeed it can
All you need is the code view using the </> button and then put around the text. And then post. Note: when editing or quoting a post the colour gets stripped.
