Curry’s installed washing machine wrong and flooded my kitchen

Hiya so I bought a new washer dryer machine and paid for installation the guys came out installed it but as it was the first having one the first few washes didn’t seem right it was steamy and wasn’t drying and the washing was very hot despite a 30 degree wash I asmused I wasn’t using it correctly but it ruined some clothes of my family’s tears and colours running and a bedding set I binned these as I thought it was my fault but today there was a awful smell so I pulled the machine out only to find they had attached it to the hot tap along with a very large puddle of water which was because they hadn’t secured the tap correctly or when pushing the machine in they bumped the other tap and this had been leaking for 5 days without us knowing this caused damage to my vinyls floor I and the floor boards underneath were soaking I called them and they said it was a partner (JSP) and that they will be in contact to have someone asses the damage caused I have emailed curry’s pictures of the floor and the floor boards underneath but I’m just wondering has anyone ever won a claim is a situation like this it’s been a nitemare I’m out of pocket on electricity and I’ve been using it contantly thinking I was the issue and the clothes have been damaged even though these have been binned the man on the phone has told me to explain it to the person who comes to asses the damage as they would understand the reasoning behind it
thanks

Please edit your post and add some punctuation.  And maybe the odd paragraph.
I can't read that as it currently is.

    Are you 70?
I know Domestos kills 99% of germs, but I'm worried about the 1% that got away.

but today there was a awful smell so I pulled the machine out only to find they had attached it to the hot tap along with a very large puddle of water which was because they hadn’t secured the tap correctly or when pushing the machine into place  they bumped the other tap and this had been leaking for 5 days without us knowing.

This caused damage to my vinyls floor I and the floor boards underneath were soaking I called them and they said it was a partner (JSP) That was hired to install it and that they will be in contact to have someone asses the damage caused.

I have emailed curry’s pictures of the floor and the floor boards underneath but I’m just wondering has anyone ever won a claim is a situation like this it’s been a nitemare I’m out of pocket on electricity and I’ve been using it contantly thinking I was the issue and the clothes have been damaged even though these have been binned the man on the phone has told me to explain it to the person who comes to asses the damage as they would understand the reasoning behind it

You need to start quantifying your losses. You cannot claim betterment though...

What is the actual damage to the flooring? is it just a case of hiring a dehumidifier and drying the floorboards out? Or have you had to rip up the vinyl?

I don't understand the electricity loss. I guess a load of washing takes 1.5 hours at the machine is about 2kw? So that's 3kWh per load. Energy is about 15p per kWh. So failed washing loads cost you 45p per wash. How many failed loads did you do?

Work out the cost for any clothes that were ruined, but I very much doubt you'll be able to claim for anything you threw away.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • The floorboards are soaking and yes the flooring was lifted due to this.  Well the energy rating is a B and the cycles are actually 3 and a half hours for the dry cycle and a hour and a half for washing  and I have done about 5 Or 6 of them trying to figure out the issue. The electricity wasn’t the big issue of course it’s just another thing that’s happened due to the incompetence of the person fitting the machine wrong. Actually my first language is English and I do know basic English this post was done quickly and on a small screened phone therefore I had issues trying to correct the problems as I stated before. Besides if I wanted grammar tips I would have asked for them the post is very clear as to what issues I was requesting help with grammar not being one. I feel the underlining and exclamation points are very rude and not helpful to the questions I was asking.

I think you're talking about the previous poster's standard signature, not something directed at you personally.

I don't understand why they wanted to know my age.  Is the insinuiation that only people born before 1950 care about punctuation?
