To me it is a total mystery we cannot take dogs on the Eurostar hence our problems each summer!!! Plus the Coronavirus...🙄
Does anyone know how to cross the border with a hired car and pay as little as possible for one month stay in France???
I have a car insured in France and Alliantz will insure the hired car for free on French soil.

Avis do it - but not starting till August due to covid and allow dogs....you do need European cover....not sure if it has to be taken out with them though.....0

Cars in France are cheap to hire from supermarkets and they will accept UK licence and address. The main problem we have had was they required a Euro cheque as security against damage.
So go as foot passenger and hire a car near the port. You need to reserve the car well in advance.
This IMO is the cheapest way to do it.0 -
The problem is that they need to be in a car to travel from England to France, since Eurostar will not carry dogs (not sure about Eurolines buses).knightstyle said:Cars in France are cheap to hire from supermarkets and they will accept UK licence and address.
