If it makes you feel a little better, I had to come on here once to ask how to remove a mug I'd managed to superglue to the kitchen worktop.
One of the more creative suggestions to my "what do I do" plea was to stick a plant in it.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

The hostage plate has been released. It is safe and well and is sitting in the sink to think about what it has done.
