Worried about children

omg thats even worse
she needs to push the police an have him arrested an then she can go pick her children up
im even angrier!!!
joint care doesnt mean that for 31/2 days they should be no contact ect with the other parent maybe she should go back to her solicitor and have something put in place where either she or the children have to call
this is now a bit similar to my friends sisters problem eventho there was no violence the children could see the control he liked to have over mum as in him saying this is how its going to be an no other way it lead to the children not being able to talk to him ablot problems an then they started making up excuses to dad so they didnt have to go now its very rare they see him an its all of his own doing
is the shared contact mutual or is it something the courts granted?0 -
just been reading this and would like to add that I would happily run my daughters father over, reverse and do it again BUT i would never lay a hand on my daughter, most adults do not assault children even if they are a bit slap happy with other adults.
Hope your friend is OK
I understand ALOT more than I care to let on

trickytrolleys - c'mon! You are having a laugh, aren't you? There have been times in my life when, for a short time, I have hated someone. I learned that hate harmed only me.
Are you truly, truly, deeply, seriously saying that you would run over someone you loathed, with your child watching and that child quite probably suffering untold damage to their heart and soul?
If that is is your message, then I can only ask how in heaven's name you got to well over 2,000 thanks.0 -
Update: well, the police have NOT been back in touch yet, but she managed to speak to the kids on the phone (with her ex in the background). She spoke to her solicitor too, who said that the police may well just put it down as a "domestic", given the lack of witnesses. (I would've thought the kids were, but then again, I'd understand not wanting to drag them into it any further). Social services said that they would "investigate" but nothing further. I hope someone takes it seriously though :mad:They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

I do understand where you're coming from (most of DH's family would like to tear his ex limb from limb!) but really, I don't think it's good for the children to have to see stuff like that. Also, as I said in my OP, unfortunately this man already has a conviction for hitting a child! They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
Thanks strapped, my response was in reference to a poster who said the kids could be next, in my opinion not many adults would assault a child (particularly their own), many people have fights but that does not mean they are going to punch a 9 or a 90 year old, most people know the difference and whilst I can understand the concern it just appears hysterical to me although i was unaware of his previous conviction - its just not the norm thats all

Still no word back from the police - presumably she is allowed to know what action they are taking? They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
