Purplebricks selling review

I am looking to put my house on the market, have got valuations from 3 different EA's, the most tempting one is Purplebricks ofcourse, due to their competitive pricing.
Their reviews on the internet are not so good, so a bit unsure if I shall use them or not.
Would love to hear stories about people who have sold via Purplebricks and how was your experience
Thanks in advance

I went with a traditional agent to sell our house. What our agent did was get 10 people through the house, back to back, on the same day, all seeing each other come and go so they got excited and felt the pressure. We got several offers on the first day. We probably could have got the same offer with purple bricks but I think it would have taken longer. I think a good agent is worth the money. However, we negotiated down their percentage and sole agent window. A bad estate agent probably isn’t better than PB though.

Thanks, how less did you manage to get the price to? We have been offered 2300 + VAT instead of 2500 + VAT.

Make sure that the Purple Bricks fee is a no-sale no-fee price. Otherwise there is no incentive for them to sell the property - just to get as many suckers signed up as possible.

It was based on a percentage. I got them down to 1%. Probably could have got them lower but I thought they were good and was keen to get on with it.

Purplebricks don't offer that service its either a pay up front or deferred payment and you owe them the money irrespective of finding a buyer or not. If you opt for their deferred payment option you have agree to use their conveyancing services who are horrendous

We are planning to pay in advance, so we don't ave to use their conveyancing services.

But then they will have no incentive to find you a purchaser as they will already have been paid, the same would apply to the deferred payment you will have to pay them even if they don't find a buyer. This is why a decent local agent is worth their fee, if they don't find a buyer they don't get paid so they have a very good incentive to find a buyer and progress the sale through.

I'm interested in a house advertised with Purple Bricks and have phoned twice and had to leave messages, no response after a week.  I know it's difficult with Covid, but I'm not impressed.

I found that 5 years ago with purple bricks as well, didn't bother with houses that were advertised with PB thereafter

We were told that people who would want to view our property, will book a time slot online on our calendar, so they don't need to get in touch with PB for viewing, its all automated?
