    Dear Sainsbury's
Neither I, my Father, the rest of my family nor my friends can afford to shop at Sainsbury any more if every shopping trip comes with a £100 surcharge.  Other supermarkets are available and my family and friends will certainly be taking advantage of those in future.  I was not appealing to you, I was asking you as a way of respecting customers who have continued to shop with you despite the time it takes to queue, shop and queue again to pay, to have this PCN cancelled.  You have clearly not read the e-mail properly if you think that was an appeal.

Well, I've made that point already on my e-mail to the CEO.

    Thank you.

This is vert like to interest  your local paper, and perhap a national.  Also, if the store has a Facebook page write bad stuff on it.

We say reply to Sainsbury's fob off and ask to escalate it because clearly 3hrs is not enough during lockdown queuing, and why didn't they ask their agent to switch the cameras off during this crisis, like you've discovered that other retailers did?

However, POPLA codes last 32 days (not 28) and this will be an EASY WIN for the keeper, as long as the driver has never been admitted and the POPLA appeal starts with the usual template point about the absence of a NTK.

    Absolutely disgraceful response from Sainsbury's.

Without actually being abusive, make sure your next email to the CEO is very, very firm.  Reiterate the facts - particularly the lockdown - very clearly, all too clearly.  But start by telling him that he appears to have misunderstood the precise nature of the circumstances in which this charge was incurred.

There's no way you can let Sainsbury's off the hook with this one.  I think they will cancel so don't give up on it until you've composed a humdinger of a second complaint and then another if necessary at the very least.

Dear Sainsbug CEO. Here is a nice piccy of my Nectar card. If you don't cancel the parking charge from the unregulated scammer that you have employed (words used by UK MPs in open parliament), the next picture will be of my Nectar card cut in two, along with everyone in my family's cards cut in two.

The shopping trip to your store took longer than normal because of the extra time taken to park, wait to enter the store, shop using the new Covid avoidance one way system, Government instructed social distancing measures, pay whilst wearing PPE, wait to leave without the risk of infection, load up, disinfect, remove PPE, and queue to leave the car park.

If you think it is acceptable to penalise genuine loyal shoppers who now must take longer than before to shop, then I have to inform you that I no longer want to be a sainsbug customer. You obviously do not want me to continue shopping in your stores so I must regrettably remind you that, other supermarkets are available.

Have you contacted your MP yet as advised earlier?. After all you were only following Government's guidelines.

OP you have plenty of material for the landowner complaint now ... just need to stitch it all together and make it your own.
